Chief Medical Officer
recruitment

As a member of the Executive Team this role will contribute to the overall direction and leadership of the Trust, so that the Trust has a clear strategy and direction as the basis of corporate and clinical service business planning and prioritisation.

This includes acting as ambassador for the Trust, ensuring that the needs and views of the Trust are fairly represented in external (including national and sector) forums and that opportunities are taken to enhance the reputation of the Trust and realise business development opportunities.

Dear Candidate

Thank you for considering our Chief Medical Officer post, I hope you find this microsite useful and informative.

We are a forward-looking Trust and are looking to recruit someone who not only has impeccable clinical credentials in psychiatry, but someone who is strongly aligned with our vision and values. Equally important is that we need a person who will champion mental health, dementia, learning disability, and autism services to reduce health inequalities, and deliver better access, experience, and outcomes for the populations we serve.

We need a compassionate, inclusive and inspirational Chief Medical Officer, who will ensure that all of our highly valued workforce feels a true sense of belonging. Our teams need to be aligned and integrated – working together with integrity and mutual respect, to learn and get the best out of each other’s skills and capabilities.

Continuous quality improvement is a key strategic priority, where we strive to always review, learn and adapt, to constantly ask for feedback and challenge ourselves to do the best we can for our population within our finite resources.

Our performance is strong as a Care Quality Commission “Good” Trust, and we are rated as “Outstanding” under the Well Led domain.

The National Staff Survey is a useful barometer of where any trust is, and we have consistently ranked as one of the top performing mental health and learning disability trusts nationally.

We are a Trust that embraces transformation and innovation. The Chief Medical Officer will need to play a key part in embracing research and advocating for new workforce roles, digital ways of working, and care models where they improve patient outcomes and experience.

As with all director roles there will also be a critical need to work collaboratively with system partners, to help the wider Lincolnshire Integrated Care System to continue to improve and achieve better outcomes for our population.

Despite these turbulent times for health and social care services, there are tremendous opportunities ahead, and we are looking for someone to be a key part of driving our future success together.

If after reading through our brochure you wish to discuss any aspects of the post do not hesitate to contact me to arrange an informal meeting or discussion.

I wish you good luck with your application.
